DEKRA recognizes Taiwan's geographical advantages and potential for technological development and believes that Taiwan will play a major strategic role in the Asia-Pacific region in the future. DEKRA decided to invest heavily in Taiwan after seeing rapid technological development in a number of industries. On the premise of technological development, DEKRA specializes in consumer electronics, IoV applications, and health care applications. DEKRA was also optimistic about the development of IoT and IoV at the Linkou First Industrial Park in New Taipei City. Therefore, the company chose to set up its R&D center and corporate headquarters in Linkou.
DEKRA has established its corporate R&D headquarters and an electromagnetic wave laboratory in Linkou, which officially opened on October 23, 2024. The company is a significant part of the production capacity of Taiwan and East Asia.
