Company introduction
Medeon Biodesign Inc. is an advanced medical device research and design company that is jointly established by international famous advanced medical device expert, Dr. Chang You-De, and Taiwan Global Biofund that is a collaboration between Center Laboratories Inc. and Yuen Foong Yu Group. We follow Dr. Chang’s several successful medical device development experience in the past, combine domestic and overseas medical and industrial resources, and hope to establish a management team that has innovative capacity for advanced medical device development in Taiwan as well as connect to the development trend of international medical device industry.
In 2022, we established the subsidiary Medeologix, Inc. to focus on the manufacture of high-end medical balloon catheters. Other than expanding MediBalloon production line in U.S.A., recruiting high-end manufacturing talents, and implementing technical upgrade, we also create a base for mass production in Taiwan at the same time to provide one-stop service to customers all over the world from proofing to mass production.
Medical balloon catheters are widely applied to minimally invasive surgery, like cerebrovascular disease and peripheral vascular disease, to dilate vascular occlusion or block vessels to place a stent. In 2021, the market scale of global balloon catheters was high up to NT$350 billion. To respond to global ageing population plus the thriving development of peripheral artery treatment and neuro-interventional surgery, it is estimated to grow rapidly to NT$420 billion by 2025.
Experience sharing
In the future, our company will share the resources of advanced medical device related technology or implement technical integration. We look forward to develop technology is made in Taiwan and work with a variety of manufacturers in the industrial park to rapidly transform the low-end medical consumables to high-end medical devices/ consumables in Taiwan as well as expand the proportion that Taiwan accounts for in the international market.
